Project Description

Challenge.

Barclays wanted to rebrand its global headquarters on Canary Wharf in London with a new design for its skyline and main-entrance signage. Building on the successful HMG relationship already established, Barclays hired us to be the rapid-response team to lead the design of the initiative.

Solution.

In conjunction with other project principals, HMG activated a comprehensive design-development program to create updated architectural-identity graphics on the building. The program was executed in record time to prepare for the global media attention the Olympics would bring to the building.

Impact.

The refreshed identity made the headquarters camera-ready for its prominent place in the mass media as the backdrop to the Olympics.

The Details.

Our participation in developing the design and supporting construction management included research and development with product manufacturers, support of regulatory reviews with Tower Hamlets London Borough Council, and development of specifications in coordination with other project principals.
